Father's Day Top 10 Golf Resort Picks

That's right Daddy-O, it's June already and Father's Day is around the corner--there's simply no time to waste. He probably has enough ties, so why not give him something he loves to do? This year, get him back on course by giving him the gift of golf. Honestly, is there anything else?
In an effort to make the gift search a bit easier for you, and for me too, I thought I'd share 10 of Travelocity's top-selling golf resorts. I know Father knows best, but with this list, show him you've learned a thing or two over the years.

Even if you can't get there right now, you can still offer Pop the list, assure him you understand the obsession, and help him be in-the-know. You can take all the credit, and maybe even suggest the two of you check out these hot spots as a team.
Your Father's Day inspiration may even result in a golf trip for you--and there's nothing wrong with that.
By the way, do yourself (and the old man) a favor: If you're packing your clubs this season, don't forget security is tight. Here are a few tips for traveling to make the whole experience a breeze:
- Clean your clubs! Do this prior to going through security in both directions. Some fertilizers can actually trigger the detection devices--and you don't want to deal with the hold up.
- Consider leaving your clubs unlocked. If locked, there is a chance the locks will be broken by security.
- Check the golf shoes and clubs (as they're likely to set off the screening machines).
- Update the address and contact information on your bags (for more privacy, consider putting a work address on the tag, rather than your home information).
Whatever you do, don't forget to say, Thanks for all you do, Dad! This list is for you. I bet he'll think you're pretty smart--just be sure to tell him the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
